TixCatch monitors Ticketmaster resale listings for supported events and looks for tickets priced at or below the amount you choose. When a matching ticket appears, TixCatch sends you a text message with the price and a direct link to the listing so you can try to purchase it before someone else does. TixCatch does not sell or reserve tickets — the purchase is completed directly through Ticketmaster.

Resale prices are set by individual sellers, and not every seller is trying to make a profit. Plans change, and someone who can no longer attend may prefer to sell quickly rather than risk being stuck with an unused ticket. As the event approaches, sellers may also reduce their prices substantially to attract a buyer before time runs out.

This can create brief opportunities where one resale ticket is priced well below comparable listings—or even below its original face value. It can happen even when standard tickets are still available because a resale seller may need to undercut those prices to make a quick sale.

The best-priced listings often disappear quickly. TixCatch helps give you a leg up by watching for these unusually low prices and alerting you when they appear, so you have a better chance to act before another buyer finds them.

Resale tickets are available to everyone, and unusually good deals can sell within seconds. An alert tells you that a matching ticket was available when TixCatch checked, but it cannot reserve the ticket for you. It may take several alerts before you successfully catch a deal, so open alerts as quickly as possible.

TixCatch currently focuses on Ticketmaster Verified Resale listings because Ticketmaster can authenticate those tickets within its own ticketing system. Ticketmaster states that its Verified Tickets—including fan-to-fan resale tickets—are 100% authentic and guaranteed to get you into the event.

Other resale marketplaces may offer buyer guarantees that provide replacement tickets or a refund if a seller does not deliver valid tickets. That is valuable protection, but it is different from Ticketmaster verifying the ticket itself before it is used. Ticketmaster also states that it cannot verify tickets purchased through a third-party marketplace.

By monitoring Ticketmaster Verified Resale listings, TixCatch can send you directly to Ticketmaster to review the listing and complete your purchase through the same platform responsible for validating the ticket.

TixCatch checks supported events regularly throughout the day. The exact frequency may vary based on the event and service availability. Because resale listings can change between checks, TixCatch cannot guarantee that every price drop will be detected.

TixCatch may monitor multiple resale listings for that event, and an alert can be triggered when an individual ticket meets your target. Always review the listing details, quantity, location, restrictions, and final price before purchasing.

TixCatch started as a simple script I built while searching for lower-priced Lollapalooza tickets. Prices would occasionally drop, but the best deals were gone before I found them. After getting the script working, I used it to buy five tickets to the sold-out Friday event for more than $100 below the typical lowest listing price. I created TixCatch so other ticket buyers could use the same approach.
